Each day, Westwood residents enjoy scenic views as they drive along Clapboardtree Street, Gay Street, Hartford Street, and Sandy Valley Road. Families hike along public trails at Sen Ki at 1255 High Street. Wild turkey, geese, deer, bobolink and other wildlife make their homes on open land. These views and open spaces - over 210 acres in Westwood - are protected in their current, natural state by Westwood Land Trust, forever.

Westwood Land Trust recently saved views and open space in another part of town - along Grove Street and Summer Street - by purchasing land in 2011 that was formerly part of the “Lee” Estate. To celebrate this accomplishment and to raise funds for completing this project and future projects, Westwood Land Trust is hosting a fall fundraiser, An Evening of Celebration, at the Lee Estate house. The current owners are making it possible for guests to enjoy their beautiful, historically restored and renovated home for the evening. The event, catered by Chiara and featuring local musicians, entertainers and dancing, will be held on Saturday, September 28th, from 7 to 11 pm. Reservations are $150 per person. Join your friends and neighbors to celebrate and support a charitable organization in your own town!

If you’d like more event information, please contact WLT Board member Nancy Looney at 781-461-0199 or email information@westwoodlandtrust.org.
